A Global Benefit Concert Broadcast Worldwide

Women’s Day Live will kick off this historic  global celebration of the women of the world, with a Rally on Washington Mall, D.C. on Sunday, March 4th, 2012. American Women Take the Lead, a three hour broadcast special will feature today’s leaders and an all star cast. Hundreds of thousands of women from across the country will make the journey to Washington to be part of this unprecedented celebration of women’s leadership and a movement to usher in a new era for women’s social and economic empowerment worldwide.

This will be followed by a spectacular Two Hour benefit concert to be broadcast worldwide from the Hollywood Bowl/or Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, March 8th.  The world’s visionaries and legendary artists will herald the great achievements of women in the past century, pay tribute to U.N. Women, look at the challenges women face today, and celebrate what we can accomplish together when we empower women and girls.
