AWAKENING
THE HEART OF HUMANITY
 -
TO RESPOND TO THE SEVERE HUMANITARIAN CRISIS

The global recession and financial crisis has hit the most vulnerable half of humanity with exceptional force. If this crisis causes us to open our hearts to lend a helping hand to all those in dire need, then in the end it may prove to be a promising beginning for our brave new world.

Women's Day Live addresses head on the UN Millennium Development goals; To fund and support programs to empower women and girls with education, economic opportunity, health, HIV prevention, and to ending violence against women. To implement proven initiatives that expand financial literacy, skills-training and access to finance for women entrepreneurs. The key steps to alleviating poverty in America and around the world.

The Women's Day Live Benefit Concert represents an opportunity of enormous magnitude to put the issue of poverty and women’s empowerment front row center and work from the bottom up.

Why We’re Needed?  Currently, only 7% of all philanthropic dollars fund programs for women and girls. Although the linkage of gender inequality, poverty, and violence against women and HIV has emerged with increasing insistence, funding to tackle this pandemic is vastly inadequate.

The future of the world’s economy lies increasingly in women’s hands. Supporting the potentiality of Women Entrepreneurs worldwide with the necessary resources and policy changes is a huge opportunity waiting to happen.
